Experience, Roles, and Duties

Total Quality Logistics

Background

At TQL, I have climbed the ladder into different roles over the years, with experience starting as a Sales Assistant, to taking on additional responsibilities as a Customer Account Specialist, and venturing into high level data analytics as a Sales Support Operations Analyst. My time in these roles has grown my professional skillset considerably across the board.

Responsibilities

Project Operations: I handled nearly all day to day operational duties on a multi-million dollar account, including building all FTL load shipments into our company systems, scheduling up to 500+ shipments weekly, and communicating with carriers and facilities to coordinate timely arrivals and departures.

Data Analytics: In analytics, I was responsible for a multitude of reporting sent to company Vice Presidents on a weekly basis. Reporting involved the utilization of Power BI and SQL to organize regional databases and deliver company insights. Metrics analyzed included performance KPI’s as well as financial tracking for all sales floor employees, company wide.

Customer Facing Service: Throughout my tenure, I had significant time at the forefront of customer facing communication, representing TQL in correspondence and meetings. White glove service was offered, ensuring customer retention and carrier/facility satisfaction. Inbound and outbound calls, emails, business inquiries, and more were primary responsibilities on a daily basis.

Accounting Duties: As I managed FTL shipments on a multi-million dollar account, their life cycle did not end when a load was delivered. Care was taken to ensure all paperwork was accurate, received, and entered in a timely manner. All shipment data was only sent to our payment teams once serviced by me. Customers were also sent weekly statements, ensuring any issues were addressed, while also ensuring payments were on time and applied correctly.

SponsorUnited

Background

At SponsorUnited, my internship began right in the middle of 2020, which shifted a lot of companies advertising, marketing, and overall focus dramatically. This was a unique experience getting to be involved in the sports industry, and I engaged with local advertising mediums to manage metrics within a company database.

Responsibilities

Data Analytics: In this role, there was significant analysis involved. Advertising and marketing metrics were measured across various mediums, including print, social media, television, radio, and more. I was tasked with engaging with my local Charlotte, NC metropolitan market, and reported on sponsorships with local teams and stations.

Corporate Sponsorships: The data analysis in this role was not limited to just advertising and marketing, but also an industry wide measurement of financial campaigns, spending, allocations, frequency, and more. This lead to a wholistic approach to understanding corporate decisions, and allowed us to recommend areas of interest to companies utilizing our services.

Producing Deliverables: Assignments began with local markets, and there were expectations of daily and weekly reporting. This showcased my ability to create initial datasets, reporting on metrics studied during the time allocated to the assigned project. Deliverables included internal breakdowns and catalogs, moved up the chain.
